In this class, we’ll cover the basic machine operation of the Lacey MakerSpace CNC routers. You will learn the safety procedures to control the machine as well as beginner concepts of routing and milling.
We will show you how to do simple designs in Easel Inventables; an online software available for CNC routing. We will also go over material selection, proper tooling, speed and feeds, and mounting procedures that are dependent upon the type of operation being performed and related safety practices.
Successful completion of this course will qualify you to use the CNC router independently at LMS. As part of the class, you’ll be asked to complete a practice cut to demonstrate proficiency.
Come prepared to learn as this will be a rapid fire class covering a lot of material!
