This class runs about 1 hr to 1.5 hrs and cover how to safely operate tools and equipment. This will provide the information needed to be LMS certified on using the equipment in the shop. For more in-depth project based hands-on instruction, we offer workshops and one-on-one mentoring.
This course will “certify” you on the table saw, miter saw, and bandsaw at LMS. You will be asked to perform a practice cut to show competence.
Individuals are welcome to sign up for multiple basics classes until they feel confident on the equipment.

Closed toed shoes are required. Anyone ages 12 and up are welcome. Attendees under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian present at all times. See our website for more class policies: laceymakerspace.org
* A signed/completed waiver is required before attending class. Sign in person before class.
Class refund policy:
– 7 calendar days or more before the class start date: Refunds will be given, minus a 10% service fee (Eventbrite fees non-refundable)
– 6 calendar days to 2 days before class start date: Refunds, minus a 10% service fee, will be issued in the form of a credit voucher to be applied to a future offering within 1-year of the issue date.
– No refunds issued within 48 hours of any class offering.
